Diesel fuel tanks are burning on the territory of industrial warehouses in Proletarsk in the Rostov region.
A fire broke out at an oil depot in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation due to a drone attack. This was announced on the morning of August 18 by regional governor Vasily Golubev and Russian Telegram channels.
According to a Russian official, air defense forces “repelled a UAV attack” in the southeast of the Rostov region.
“As a result of falling debris on the territory of industrial warehouses in Proletarsk, a fire occurred with diesel fuel involved in extinguishing the fire,” said Golubev.
He later added that fire extinguishing was suspended due to a “repeated UAV attack,” and at 06.50 a fire train arrived in Proletarsk.
There is no information about casualties. According to local residents, a business was damaged as a result of the drone attack Caucasus.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said that on the night of August 18, air defenses allegedly destroyed “five Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs.” Of these, two are on the territory of the Belgorod region, one is on the territory of the Kursk region, and two are on the territory of the Rostov region.
