“During the investigation of the criminal proceedings, it was found that three citizens of Ukraine, through a prior conspiracy, arrived in Croatia from Poland on May 14 and parked a car in the Medulin area, from where they were heading to the port of Medulin around 3:40 am, while the other two attackers were on guard, one of the 25-year-old men slipped through the fenced part of the pier and went onto the pier,” said the police report.
The suspect then threw a bottle of flammable liquid and caused a fire that overturned 34 moored vessels, 22 of which were completely burned and the rest were damaged by fire.
