Mine 1-3 Novogrodovskaya has been shut down due to Russian shelling – the mine is flooded and gassed.

    .

The head of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine, Mykhailo Volynets, reported this today, July 17, on his Facebook page.

According to the head of the primary trade union organization of Mine 1-3 Novogrodovskaya, Sergei Pavlov, the mine management has decided to stop the mine’s operations, Volynets noted.

In connection with the approaching front and the intensification of shelling, in particular, of the territory of the coal mining enterprise, as well as the recorded facts of the enemy’s sabotage and reconnaissance group entering the city, the mine administration decided to disconnect it from the power supply, he added.

It is noted that the main ventilation fans and central drainage units have been stopped at the mine. At the moment, the mine is being flooded and welded shut.

The neighboring Selidovugol mines were put out of action earlier as a result of intensive shelling from Russia, Volynets noted.
