The perpetrator sent out videos in which he justified Russian war crimes and also tried to discredit the highest military and political leadership of Ukraine.
Thus, the defendant destabilized the socio-political situation in the region in favor of the aggressor country, the SBU claims.
Law enforcement officials informed the Russian agent of suspicion under Part 2 and Part 3 of Article 436-2 (acquittal, recognition of the lawfulness, denial of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, glorification of its participants) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He faces eight years in prison.
Let us recall that on August 16, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy at a meeting today recommended that the parliament adopt in the second reading and as a whole draft law No. 8371, which prohibits the activities of religious organizations affiliated with the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine.
