Russian troops destroyed the first “green school” in Ukraine and the only one in Kherson.
On Friday, August 16, the army of the aggressor country attacked a unique school twice in half a day. The building of the educational institution was destroyed. The head of the Kherson city military administration Roman Mrochko reported this on Facebook.
According to him, the school is located in Antonovka. It was built with the help of the Finnish government according to European energy-saving principles. The school had an air purification system – recuperation, installed on the ceiling. There were no pipes or radiators inside the building. Heat was supplied by solar batteries located on the roof.
The educational institution accepted its first 200 students in 2016.
Also in Kherson region rescuers who were extinguishing a unique “green school” after a preliminary strike came under fire. A damaged service vehicle. No one was hurt.
Mrochko published a video showing what the school was like before and what it looks like now after Russian shelling.
Let us recall that 10 underground schools are planned to be built in Zaporizhia by the end of this year. The head of the Zaporizhia OVA Ivan Fedorov reported in June that funding had been fully provided for six schools, and construction was already underway at five construction sites. They are planned to open in the fall.
