A trusted member of Zelensky’s team, the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Pavlo Kyrylenko received suspicion from NABU and SAP of illegal enrichment of UAH 56 million.
Anti-corruption agencies took on Kirilenko immediately after the release of the investigation by Schemes, which showed that during the war years his family had acquired movable and immovable property worth tens of millions of hryvnias, which is not comparable to the official income of the government official and his family members.
Journalists from “Schemes” discovered that the official’s family purchased cars and a number of properties in Kyiv and the region, as well as in Uzhgorod, in the period 2020-2023, despite the fact that none of Kirilenko’s relatives own a business, and the family’s official income would not have been enough to purchase all this precious property. Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case the day after the material was published.
According to the investigation, in 2020-2023, the suspect, while holding the position of head of the regional state administration, acquired 21 real estate properties and a luxury car, registering the property in the name of his wife’s relatives.
The NABU website does not indicate the suspect’s name, but it is about:
-
seven apartments in Kyiv and Uzhgorod with a total area of 688.5 sq. m;
-
house near Kiev with an area of more than 220 sq. m;
-
two garage boxes;
-
six parking spaces;
-
three non-residential premises with a total area of more than 190 sq. m;
-
BMW X3 car.
