A man from Ukraine was temporarily arrested last night but later released, German law enforcement officials said.
In Germany, law enforcement officials released from custody a Ukrainian detained the previous day, suspected of killing a compatriot from a refugee shelter. This was stated in a joint press release from the prosecutor’s office and police of the city of Rostock.
“After a 46-year-old Ukrainian became the victim of murder yesterday, Monday, the same day the police identified the 26-year-old suspect The man from Ukraine was temporarily arrested last night, but then released , ” the report said.
It is reported that the investigation is ongoing, but the prosecutor’s office does not see any immediate suspicion, and therefore the man has been released from custody.
We remind you that in the city of Rostock in northern Germany, a 46-year-old citizen of Ukraine was found dead in a hostel for refugees.
Earlier in Frankfurt, a 19-year-old Afghan man attacked a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman with a knife.
