When the Republican candidate talks about bloodshed if he loses the election, he really means it, the White House leader said.
US President Joe Biden is not confident of a peaceful transition of power if presidential candidate Donald Trump loses the election. Biden said this in an interview with CBS News.
“He (Donald Trump – ed.) means what he says. We don’t take him seriously. But he really means it. All these statements that ‘if we lose, there will be bloodshed’… You can’t only love your country when you win,” Biden said.
It was the sitting president’s first interview since announcing his departure from the race and his endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination.
It was earlier reported that US presidential candidate Kamala Harris has surpassed her opponent Donald Trump in terms of popular support.
