In the Nikolaev region, a 24-year-old driver of a VAZ-2104 lost control and drove into a tree. Due to the accident, a 37-year-old passenger died. The driver himself and two other people, including a small child, were injured, regional police reported.

The driver has been declared a suspect and faces up to eight years in prison.
The police are investigating all the circumstances and causes of the incident.
