The Joint Stock Company Ukrainian Defense Industry for the first time entered the top 50 global defense companies according to the Defense News rating. The Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Alexander Kamyshin announced this on Thursday, August 8, on the Telegram channel.
He emphasized that last year Ukroboronprom took 65th place, but now it “jumped 16 steps at once.”
According to Kamyshin, of the hundred largest defense companies in the world, Ukroboronprom is the fastest growing. Its revenue for 2023 grew by 72% – to $2.2 billion.
“The goal of the entire Ukrainian defense industry is one – to produce as many weapons as possible for the defense forces, to produce them as quickly and efficiently as possible, to adapt and modernize each minutes to save the lives of our soldiers,” said the minister.
He emphasized that after the victory, “the defense industry will be one of the most important export areas of the Ukrainian economy.”
Earlier, JSC Ukroboronprom signed a memorandum with the leading company in the development and production of missile systems – MBDA Deutschland.
Ukroboronprom also signed a memorandum with one of the leaders of the international arms community – Dynamit Nobel Defense.
