Ukrainian soldier Alexander Ishchenko died in a Russian pretrial detention center due to chest trauma caused by a blunt object.
The results of the forensic examination were published by the deputy commander of the Azov brigade, Svyatoslav Palamar. The autopsy showed that Ishchenko died on July 22 due to “closed blunt chest trauma as a result of contact with a blunt object.” He also had multiple rib fractures.
Palamar added the document to the Facebook post with the consent of the tortured man’s wife.
The fact of another brutal murder of a Ukrainian prisoner of war has been confirmed. […] Everyone should know about this case: from the US to China. The murders of Ukrainian prisoners of war should become the number one topic in the world media and on the agenda of international organizations, Palamar wrote.
The death of Alexander Ishchenko, who served as a driver in the Azov Brigade, became known on July 31 – he was not delivered to the court hearing from the pretrial detention center. The soldier’s daughter then said that he had died nine days earlier.
