The State Emergency Service once again called on people to check their physical abilities, choose only areas suitable for swimming, and not swim too far, especially in unfamiliar bodies of water.
In the Cherkasy region, emergency workers rescued two teenagers who were swept from the beach. The press service of the State Emergency Service reported this on Tuesday, August 6.
It was found that children aged 12 and 13 years old on floating pontoons were brought from the shore at a distance of about 100 m could not reach themselves, so rescuers came to the rescue.
No one was hurt in the incident.
It was noted that in the past 24 hours, four people, including two children, died in Ukrainian reservoirs.
The State Emergency Service reminded people to follow the rules of behavior in the water.
“Test your physical abilities, choose only suitable areas for swimming, do not swim too far, especially in unfamiliar bodies of water, And take care of your children,” the message urged.
Earlier it was reported that in Odessa, divers of the State Emergency Service found the body of a girl who was swept away by the waves on the sea pier.
In the Khmelnytsky region, in the village of Sutkovtsy, two teenagers drowned while swimming in a local lake.
