Iran may attack Israel on Monday, August 5th. Axios reported this in connection with Israeli and American officials.
It is noted that against the background of the recent escalation between Israel, Iran and Hezbollah, the head of the US Central Command, Michael Kurilla, arrived in the Middle East.
His trip to the region was planned to aggravate the situation, however, according to the interlocutor of the publication, the general is using it to mobilize both the international and regional coalition that protects Israel from the attack of Iran on April 13.
Kurilla is expected to visit several Gulf countries, Jordan and Israel.
Axios recalled that the leaders of Iran and Hezbollah vowed to avenge the killings of Hezbollah military commander Fuad Shuqra and Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.
In light of a possible Iranian attack on Israel, the United States is increasing its forces in the Middle East and has sent additional warships and fighter jets to the region.
US officials expect Tehran to follow the April 13 scenario, but the response will be larger and involve Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Earlier, Sky News Arabia reported, citing Western intelligence sources, that Iran plans to attack Israel on August 12-13, the day of mourning for Jews.
