Explosions were heard in the Russian city of Kursk that night, and air defense forces and methods were working in the region because of a drone attack. This was reported on Friday, August 2, by local Telegram channels and the acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexey Smirnov.
It is known that the local authorities first announced the threat of missile attacks for the region, then at about 02.00 they announced a retreat, and even later a message appeared about the danger of a UAV attack in the region.
Later, Smirnov announced the task of air defense in the region to repel an air attack.
At the same time, the public pages of Kursk report the sounds of explosions in various places of the center of the region at night. It was noted that they were “powerful”.
