The recruitment of residents of occupied territories into the occupying army is a violation of international law.
The Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region are conducting a recruitment campaign and trying to attract the local population to serve in their army. This was stated in a statement by the Center for National Resistance on Thursday, August 1.
It is indicated that special detachments of the Russian security forces, accompanied by collaborators from fake administrations, travel to the villages where they are ordered to conclude a contract.
“The traitors were compiling lists of people who were theoretically loyal to the occupiers and might agree,” notes CNS.
At the same time, the invaders promised that they would have to serve in the rear, but, according to the CNS, this was a lie.
“The Kremlin benefits from the death of Ukrainians, regardless of the side they are fighting on, to destroy the mental connection between us,” the message said.
In the temporarily occupied territories, the Russian occupiers create separate detachments under the “Ministry of Internal Affairs”, whose task is the filtering actions of the local population.
Russia is looking for manpower to make up for unprecedented losses on the Ukraine front. In this regard, the Russians are actively recruiting 17-year-old teenagers in military registration and enlistment offices to sign a contract upon reaching adulthood.
