The ceremony in Istanbul was attended by Ukrainian officials, including the heads of the Ministry of Defense, Navy and First Lady.
Second Ukrainian Ada-class corvette Hetman Ivan Vygovsky (F-212) was launched on a ship of the Turkish company Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.Ş. (STM). This was reported by Clash Report on the X social network.
Among those who attended the ceremony were the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, the commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Vice Admiral Alexey Neizhpapa, People’s Deputy, Hero of Ukraine Mustafa Dzhemilev, the First Lady of Ukraine Elena Zelenskaya and others.
The length of the ship is 100 meters, width 14.40, draft 3.90 meters, total displacement 2340 tons, maximum speed 30 knots.
The ship is equipped with the most modern radio equipment, artillery and missile weapons, including anti-ship missiles Harpoon. It also has a hangar for storing a helicopter.
The first corvette, named after Ivan Mazepa, is ready and is being tested in the Black Sea. The ship will be the flagship of the Ukrainian Navy.

Vygovsky is known in Ukrainian historiography as a champion of the transformation of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth into a triune state (Kingdom of Poland, Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Grand Duchy of Russia), the project of which was described in the Treaty of Gadyach ( 1658 ).
He defeated the Muscovite army at the battle of Konotop.
