Deputy Minister of Economy Tatyana Berezhnaya stated this during a meeting with IMF representatives, the department’s press service reported.
According to her, if in 2021 the official labor market numbered 11.5 million workers, then in 2023 this figure decreased to 9 million officially employed.
According to preliminary calculations, in order to ensure an annual growth of CIT by 7% by 2030, we need an additional 4.5 million workers, she noted.
Berezhnaya noted that the state, in order to solve the problem of structural unemployment, helps people adapt to changes in demand on the labor market. In addition, work is being completed on a project to modernize labor legislation, designed to improve the situation on the labor market.
