The Belarusian Foreign Ministry claimed that Minsk allegedly offered Berlin “options for the development of the situation.”
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry announced that it is in talks with the German Foreign Ministry about 30-year-old German Rico Krieger, who was sentenced to death. This was stated by the spokesman of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, Anatoly Glaz, to the Belarusian propaganda agency BELTA.
According to him, Minsk gave Berlin consular access to the convicted person “in full compliance with international norms and bilateral agreements.”
“Taking into account the request of the German Foreign Ministry, specific decisions about the available options for the development of the situation have been proposed by the Belarusian side. Consultations on this topic continue through the foreign ministries of the two countries ,” he added without details.
As we wrote earlier, German citizen Rico Krieger was sentenced to death in Belarus on charges of “terrorism.”
