On the night of July 21, 2024, the enemy launched an attack with three Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Russian Kursk region and occupied Crimea and two Kh-59/69 guided air missiles from the airspace of the Kursk region. The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
The enemy also launched 39 Shahed-type attack drones in three directions: Russian Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk and annexed Crimea.
Units of mobile fire groups of all Ukrainian defense forces, as well as anti-aircraft missile troops and electronic warfare of the Air Force, participated in repelling the air attack. In 10 regions, 35 “Shaheds” were shot down. In addition, the command claims that the Kh-59/69 missiles did not reach their targets.
Enemy targets were shot down in Sumy, Poltava, Kyiv, Chernigov, Kherson, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Nikolaev, Odessa and Cherkasy regions.
Let us recall that on the morning of July 21, Russian troops launched a missile and air strike on critical infrastructure facilities in the Shostka district of Sumy Oblast. Emergency services are working at the site of the enemy strikes.
