In Nikolaev on July 15, an extremely high temperature was recorded that day. The heat reached +40.5 °C.
In Nikolaev, for the second time in the past week, an excess of the absolute maximum temperature was recorded – extreme heat reached +40.5 °C. The Nikolaev Regional Center for Hydrometeorology reported this on Tuesday, July 16.
“On July 15, in Nikolaev, the extreme maximum temperature of that day was recorded in the amount of +40.5 °C. The previous record in 2001 was +37.0 °C,” the report said.
It was noted that on July 10, the record for the absolute maximum air temperature for the entire observation period was broken for the first time. In Nikolaev this value is now +40.5 °C for July 10 and 15, 2024.
We remind you that in Kyiv on July 15, the maximum air temperature was the highest during the observation period for this date and reached 34.2 °C.
As reported, the heat will continue in Ukraine. Only on July 18, the air temperature will drop slightly, but the weakening will be temporary and not throughout Ukraine.
