The officer demanded payment from his subordinates for time off on land. In order to leave the ship on a legal day off, the subordinates had to pay 10 thousand UAH. He did not let the sailors go ashore without a bribe. This was reported on July 15 by the State Bureau of Investigation.
The investigation believes that in this way the perpetrator could earn at least 150 thousand UAH per month on the sailors’ time off.
The offender was detained on July 9 while receiving his next payment of $1,000. He received this money from a subordinate for the opportunity to go ashore on weekends for a month.
Let us recall that in June, the State Bureau of Investigation detained the son of the head of one of the departments of the Vinnytsia United City TCC and SP, who promised to “make” a package of documents for a local resident to travel abroad for $20,000.
