At the same time, Peskov indicated that the Kremlin was not surprised by the assassination attempt on Trump because of the “atmosphere created around him.”
“After many attempts to remove candidate Trump from the political arena, first using legal tools, courts, prosecutors, attempts at political neutrality, it is clear to all outside observers that his life is in danger… We do not think and do not believe that an attempt to eliminate Trump’s presidential candidate was created by the current government, but the environment created by this administration in the process of political struggle, the environment around the candidate Trump, is what sparked what America is facing now,” he said.
The Kremlin spokesman also saw a connection between the assassination attempt on Trump and the foreign policy of the Biden administration.
“The work style of the current administration is such that they try to solve all issues from a position of strength, especially in world affairs… This includes sanctions that the administration wants, and political pressure , or the direct use of coercive methods. , military forces are now, in fact, transferred inside the country,” said Peskov.
We remind you that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico thought that the scenarios of attempts on the life of former US President Donald Trump and himself were similar.
