From 16:00 to 00:00, four stages of shutdowns will be applied simultaneously. During other hours, three stages, Ukrenergo specified.
Meanwhile, Ukrenergo plans to buy electricity from private businesses that will build decentralized generation, including gas-fired power plants.
The company’s director, Vladimir Kudritsky, said this.
We will buy balancing services from new power plants for five years, essentially the energy system. We will conclude a contract with power plants that have not yet been built for five years in advance, and we will undertake to buy the balancing service from them at a price determined at the auction, Kudritsky said in an interview with Obshchestvenny.
According to him, this contract can be brought to the bank and receive a loan against it. Thus, private business will be able to calculate its financial investment models for years to come.
Kudritsky also announced that in a few weeks, perhaps in two or three, Ukrenergo will announce the first such auction for investors who are ready to build new decentralized generation in Ukraine.
