In particular, the former head of the interregional structure of the Ministry of Justice was exposed in corruption. The perpetrator involved several of his subordinates in criminal activity. At the time of the exposure, the top official was still in his position. The Security Service of Ukraine reported this on Telegram on July 1.
It turned out that officials of the Justice Ministry offered debtors to close enforcement proceedings without paying the fees specified by the court for a bribe. A resident of the Carpathian region was involved in the scheme to transfer the funds.
The criminals then divided the bribe between themselves, and the enforcement proceedings were closed with the wording “in connection with the full repayment of the debt.”
Searches have already been conducted at the places of work, in the homes and cars of the defendants, and large sums of cash, materials from enforcement proceedings, the participants of which were involved in the transaction, and mobile phones with evidence of illegal activity have been discovered.
The former head of the Western Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice has already been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an undue benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and the intermediaries under Part 5 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 368 (assistance in the acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an undue benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Let us recall that the SBU and the National Police exposed a deputy of the Uzhgorod City Council, who is a member of the leadership of the local department of social policy, in corruption. This official demanded money from conscripts who were applying for a deferment from conscription for family reasons.
