In Germany, the Ukrainian defense forces authorized the use of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, transferred by Berlin, to attack the aircraft of the Russian occupation forces.
Ukraine can shoot down enemy aircraft in Russian airspace using German Patriot systems. This was announced on Sunday, June 2, by the head of the German-Ukrainian situation center, Bundeswehr Major General Christian Freudig, Tagesschau reports.
According to him, theoretically, within the framework of the permission granted by Germany to strike Russia, Ukraine could shoot down the aircraft of the invaders of the Russian airspace along with the German Patriots, and the tactical use of system is the exclusive responsibility of the military of Ukraine.
“It is quite possible that Patriot systems will also be used in the Kharkov area, they are good for combating Russian aircraft, which can drop loitering bombs,” he said.
We remind you that the German government has lifted restrictions related to the use of weapons transferred to Ukraine. Now Ukrainian defenders will be able to strike on Russian territory.
It was also reported that the United States would be allowed to attack Russian troops near the border.
