It is possible that the enemy does not comply with the Geneva Conventions. This can be seen after the state in which the Ukrainian defenders return to their homeland. Photos of prisoners released from captivity on May 31 were published by the State Border Service of Ukraine.
The photo showed one of the prisoners, who lost a lot of weight in Russian captivity. The footage also showed other soldiers returning home. They already managed to get new things, call their relatives on the phone and eat.
Footage that moves you to tears… It seems that the whole of Ukraine is now looking at these faces, and everyone nearby is trying to support the defenders in any way they can. New things, a shower, lunch, emotions from calling relatives and the first warm hugs in a long time of captivity, noted the State National Security Service.
Let us remind you that on May 31, 75 Ukrainians were returned from Russian captivity – privates, sergeants and officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, NSU, GNSU and civilians. In particular, 19 soldiers who were captured from Zmeiny Island and 10 defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal returned home.
