A border guard was injured by a knife attack by a foreigner who tried to break through the Belarusian border barrier.
After a Polish border guard was injured on the border with Belarus, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that he would go to the scene of the incident. The head of government announced this on social network X on Tuesday, May 27.
“Soldiers and border guards are protecting our border, putting their lives at risk. The wounded soldier is being well cared for, as is his family. We have sent additional forces to the border. I will be there tomorrow morning, ” wrote Tusk.

A group of about 50 foreigners threw branches and stones at the Polish patrols. When the migrants tried to cross the border, one of them stabbed a Polish soldier.
As reported, based on the materials of the SBU, the migration crisis coordinator at the border of the EU and Belarus was expelled from Poland.
On April 10, Polish border guards and military personnel stopped an attempt by more than 220 foreigners to cross the border illegally from Belarus.
