Before this, the project, presented by the Georgian Dream faction and rejected by Salome Zurabishvili, was supported by 84 votes.
First, a vote was held on the project proposed by Salome Zurabishvili, according to which the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” should have been in force for only one day. The presidential project was failed – 0 votes “for”, 66 “against”.
After this, the project of the Georgian Dream faction was supported by the parliament – 84 votes for, 4 against.

During a discussion in parliament, MP from the ruling Georgian Dream party Irma Zavradashvili poured water on Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the opposition Strategy Agmashenebeli party, who was speaking from the podium.
Well done! Thank you! Well done! Bravo! Bravo! Well done! You are not capable of more. Nothing, nothing This is the savagery to which the traitors have reached! – he said after that.
The bill “On Transparency of Foreign Influence” will again be sent to the president for signature. The law must be presented to the president within three days, with 5 days allotted for signing. If Zurabishvili does not re-sign the law within the established time frame, it will be signed and published by the Speaker of Parliament within 5 days.
After the promulgation of the law, the Ministry of Justice and the National Agency of Public Registry must create a register of “Organizations representing the interests of foreign forces” within 60 days. Once the register comes into force, registration in it becomes mandatory for all non-governmental organizations and funds whose income comes from abroad more than 20%.
