Overall, since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the United States has provided $61 billion in aid to Ukraine.
The United States has a principled position and wants Russia’s aggression against Ukraine to end in victory for Kyiv. State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller said this on Monday, May 20, Ukrinform writes.
“We fundamentally want Ukraine to win this war and have made that clear, especially by providing billions of dollars in security assistance,” he said.
The State Department representative recalled that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during a visit to Kyiv, announced Russia’s strategic defeat in this war.
Miller added that Ukraine’s victory in the war would automatically mean Russia’s defeat in the confrontation.
“I think our position – who we want to see as the winner of this war and who the loser – has remained clear for more than two years,” he said.
Earlier, Lloyd Austin assured that America will not allow Ukraine to lose the war. According to him, military aid to Ukraine is the West’s investment in its own security.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were repelling the attacks in four directions.
