On the night of today, May 16, and in the morning, Russian invaders carried out six attacks on border areas and settlements in the Sumy region.

36 explosions were recorded. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Sumy OVA.
The following were shelled:
- Belopol society – the enemy fired from cannon artillery (10 explosions);
- Seredino-Budskaya community – mortar shelling (four explosions);
- Miropol Society – the Russians dropped 10 mines on the territory of the community;
- Esman community – a mortar attack was recorded (two explosions).
Over the past 24 hours, the invaders shelled only 38 settlements in the Sumy region, 288 strikes were counted, the press service of the Sumy region police reports.
As a result of the attacks, one woman was killed and another was injured. In addition, the administrative building, eight private buildings and one apartment building were damaged, the message states.
