Shakhtar Donetsk and Vorskla Poltava met at the Avangard stadium in Rivne. On the way to the Ukrainian Cup final, the Poltava team defeated Metalist 1925 from Kharkov, Obolon from Kyiv and Polesie from Zhytomyr. And the miners passed the Odessa “Chernomorets”, the Sumy “Victoria” and the Rivne “Veres”.
The winner of today’s match was the team from Donetsk. The final match ended with a score of 2:1.
Shakhtar practically dominated the entire first half, but managed to score at the end of the first 45 minutes. In the 40th minute, Ikan scored, shooting accurately after a pass from Azarov.
In the second half, Konoplya made the score 2.0 in the 56th minute. The Poltava team managed to pull one goal back in the 85th minute – Kovtalyuk scored.
As you know, today’s match was called the Match of Gratitude to the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and all proceeds from the sale of UAF tickets will be transferred to the needs of the military.
