Stockholm does not yet plan to send its military to Ukraine, but may consider this possibility.
Sweden may send its military to Ukraine if NATO allies offer it. This is what Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson said, as quoted by Breaking Defense on Tuesday, May 14.
According to Johnson, among the countries that met at the Paris summit earlier this year, “there is no common position” on this matter.
“There is no specific proposal on this matter here and now. If a specific proposal comes up, we can consider it,” Jonson added.
We remind you that French President Emmanuel Macron was the first to speak about the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine. The other day, he said he considered Russia’s nervous reaction to his remarks about the possible deployment of Western troops to Ukraine as evidence that this idea was working.
It has also been reported that the Estonian government is considering the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine so that the Estonian military can take over logistical work in western Ukraine.
