By illegally cutting trees in the Rivne region, the offenders caused damage to the environment worth more than 13 million hryvnias.
In the Rivne region, near the village of Dolgovolya, due to illegal cutting of trees, environmental damage amounted to more than 13 million Hryvnias. This was reported by the press service of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Polesie District on Monday, May 13.
“By illegally cutting down trees in the Rivne region, the offenders caused damage to the environment worth more than UAH 13 million,” the report said.
The environmental inspection received a complaint about illegal logging of trees near the village of Dolgvola, Rivne region.
In the indicated coordinates, in the forest lands in the territory of the Vladimir community, inspection representatives discovered illegal logging of 1,376 trees of various species.
The inspection sent the materials to the Department of the SBU in the Rivne region for further entry of information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Let’s recall that earlier employees of the DBI and the SBU exposed large timber transactions in the Sumy region. And in the Lviv region, the illegal cutting of trees worth 64 million hryvnias is being investigated.
