Garena Free Fire is a third-person Battle Royale shooter. Similar to other games of the same genre, players are dropped onto a large island online, where everyone needs to find weapons and supplies along the way. The objective of the game is to win the round as the last survivor, varying strategies between actively hunting other players or trying to hide while others eliminate each other.
The game officially debuted in December 2017. According to the Data.ai website, Free Fire was the most downloaded game in the world between 2019 and 2021, as well as the most downloaded mobile Battle Royale between 2022 and 2023.
