Politicians aim to appeal to an electorate concerned about the nation’s economic problems.
US President Joe Biden’s administration will pay little attention to Ukraine. The reason is the election, which is only six months away. The Politico newspaper reported this on Thursday, May 2, citing its own sources.
The publication writes that Biden and his campaign headquarters intend to focus on the country’s economic problems. As the sources explained, this decision was made after it became clear that Ukraine would receive aid.
“In the coming months, the topic of Ukraine in the speeches of both US administration officials and members of the Biden campaign will fade into the background, they will not pay attention to it from the public, even if they want to pay attention to the economic problems in the United States,” said the publication’s interlocutor.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 5 this year. Right now, it all looks like the main competitors, as in 2020, are Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
Former US President Donald Trump, speaking to supporters in Ohio, said that if he does not win the presidential election in November, it will mean the likely end of American democracy.
