For Kostyuk, this is the third WTA final in her career and the second this year. On the way to the final in Stuttgart, Marta won three victories over tennis players from the top 10 of the world ranking.
In the final, Marta Kostyuk will play against the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina, the fourth racket of the world.
It’s hard to believe, this is how the official Twitter channel of the tennis tournament in Stuttgart described the rally from Marta Kostyuk in the semi-finals.

The Ukrainian won a seemingly dead rally at a key moment in the set in the semi-finals of the tournament.
In the tiebreaker, with the score 4:2 in favor of Marta, Marketa Vondrousova made a good serve, “knocked” the Ukrainian out of the court and, it would seem, had already won a point. However, Marta decided to defend herself to the last, guessed the direction of her opponent’s mix, received the ball and eventually won the rally.
Earlier, Kostyuk won the biggest victory in her career so far – she beat the third racket of the world, American Coco Goff. This happened in the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 tournament in Stuttgart.
This was Kostyuk’s first victory over an opponent from the top 3 in the world rankings.
The match lasted three sets and almost three hours, the Ukrainian won it on the eighth match point in a tiebreaker in the decisive set – 3:6, 6:4, 7:6. In the semifinals, Marta will play against Marketa Vondrousova, the eighth racket in the world.
