Congresswoman Victoria Spartz’s amendments, which proposed to prohibit the White House from providing weapons to Ukraine directly from the American army, were rejected.
The US House of Representatives, the lower house of the US Congress, rejected all amendments to the Ukraine aid bill. The Voice of America reported this on Saturday, April 20.
It was indicated that Congresswoman Victoria Spartz’s amendments were rejected, which proposed to remove four provisions from the bill, especially those related to the PDA program, which allows the White House to provide weapons to Ukraine directly from the US army.
Also rejected was an amendment from Congresswoman Kat Cammack that proposed eliminating all non-military funding related to Ukraine, and an amendment from Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene that proposed “reducing every dollar amount in this bill to zero.”
“Congressman Kevin Gern of Oklahoma himself withdrew his Fourth Amendment, which proposed to prohibit the use of Economic Support Fund funds to pay pensions,” the report said.
We remind you that on April 20, the US Congress will vote on bills containing aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.
US President Joe Biden has promised to “immediately sign” House Speaker Mike Johnson’s bills as soon as Congress approves them.
