Lithuania remains among the largest supporters of Ukraine in the world in terms of share of GDP and continues to provide aid, both military and humanitarian.
The Lithuanian government will allocate 400 thousand euros for the installation of metal detectors in Ukrainian schools. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported this on Sunday, April 14.
It is reported that in Lviv, Ukraine’s Interior Minister Igor Klimenko met with the Interior Ministers of the Baltic countries to discuss security issues for Ukraine amid increasing Russian attacks on civilian and critical infrastructure.
During the meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Lithuania, Agne Belotite, said that her country is ready to provide 400 thousand euros for the purchase of metal detectors for educational institutions in Ukraine, as well as for rehabilitation of the Ukrainian military.
“This is a great opportunity to see with your own eyes everything that is happening in your country, including the crimes of the Russian army in your once peaceful cities and villages. You can be sure that we support you and stand by your side during the fight you for our common values,” said Bilotaite.
Lithuania announced the transfer of another batch of military aid to Ukraine.
