He recalled that in recent years, Iranian drones have killed and continue to kill Ukrainian civilians.
“President Zelensky, who condemned Iran’s attack yesterday, said that Iran’s drones are an instrument of terrorism either in the air in the Middle East or Europe. And the sound of these drones should be a wake- up call for the free world,” said the head of the Israeli delegation.
Erdan called on the UN Security Council to listen to the words of the President of Ukraine and “wake up” from this alarming call.
Israel’s representative emphasized that Iran’s strategy is to arm, finance and train terrorist groups around the world to further its plans for world domination.
The diplomat added that Iran remains the number one sponsor of terrorism in the world and aims to destabilize the region and the world.
He called on the international community to condemn Iran and use all necessary tools to make it “pay a heavy price for its heinous crimes.”
