Israel’s ambassador to the UN has requested an emergency meeting. It will take place on Sunday afternoon.
The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting in the afternoon (US time) on Sunday, April 14, to discuss Iran’s attack on Israel. This was reported by The New York Times in connection with the mission of Malta, which chairs the Council.
It was noted that the Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan requested an emergency meeting on Saturday night in a letter.
“The attack is a serious and dangerous escalation,” his letter said.
It was previously reported that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres strongly condemned Iran’s massive attack on Israel.
