On the night of Monday, April 8, the diplomatic department of the aggressor country was attacked with Molotov cocktails. At approximately 2.15, an unknown person threw a bottle into the Russian Embassy building. The second time a bottle of incendiary fluid was thrown into the building at about 2.46. The embassy wall has been damaged and the damage is being determined. This was reported by the local police department, LRT reports.
According to Police Department spokesman Ramunas Matonis, the suspects have not yet been identified. The incident was recorded by the police themselves. Law enforcement officials did not indicate whether these incidents could have been a provocation.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched under Art. 187 (destruction or damage to property in a generally dangerous manner) of the Criminal Code.
Let us remember that in March, a flash mob was staged at the Russian embassy in Riga – they parked a bus with an offer to those voting for dictator Vladimir Putin to choose a city to go to.
