The committee consists of certified internal auditors from NATO member states and Ukraine with experience in providing internal audit services.
A coordinating advisory body for the Internal Audit Department was created under the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine – the Audit Committee, which includes internal auditors from NATO member states. The Ministry of Defense reported this on April 8.
The order on the creation of the committee was signed by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
The committee is one of the components of the new model of financial control reform in the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The committee consists of certified internal auditors from NATO member states and Ukraine with experience in providing internal audit services.
Reportedly, an audit committee was created to provide consultations and consider issues related to the conduct of internal audit activities and prepare recommendations for improving its work in the Ministry of Defense. It will strengthen the internal audit function and at the same time the body that will develop its function.

Specialist in Ukraine in national and international projects under the auspices of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the Accounts Chamber Ruslana Rudnitskaya,

We remind you that the auditors of the Ministry of Defense discovered about 30 thousand new high-quality medical SOF tourniquets made in the USA in the storage of one of the military units under the Medical Forces Command in the Zhytomyr region . These turnstiles were received in April 2023, and only six months later the military unit released the first of them to the military – a total of 458 units.
In the past, Ministry of Defense auditors found that individual military personnel were paid additional monetary compensation without reason. The amount of damage caused by the state exceeded 180 million Hryvnia.
