In particular, in the eastern direction, fighters of the 1st assault detachment of the OMEGA Special Forces Center destroyed the enemy assault group. The Russians tried to enter the Ukrainian positions at night, but they managed to record the exit of the attack aircraft from the forest belt. This is reported on the Telegram division page.
They fired at the enemies from the Ukrainian portable anti-tank missile system “Corsair”. Thus, five of the invaders were killed and the rest were wounded.
As you know, the Corsair is a Ukrainian light anti-tank missile system from the Luch design bureau, designed to destroy stationary and moving armored targets with combined, spaced or monolithic armor, including with dynamic protection.
The ATGM can fight tanks, armored personnel carriers, as well as helicopters hovering above the ground or flying at low altitude. The complex can also hit enemy firing points. The Corsair was adopted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in August 2017.
Let us remind you that Ukrainian special forces of the Omega-1 unit defeated a column of enemy armored vehicles in the eastern direction. First they worked on it with artillery fire, and then finished it off with FPV drones.
