Three Russian military airfields were attacked by drones on the morning of Friday, April 5. This was reported by Ukrainian truth with reference to an interlocutor in the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

It is said that as a result of a joint operation between the main control center and the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the Engels-2 airfield, three Tu-95MS strategic bombers were probably damaged.

“We also know about the death of seven servicemen at the airport. Preliminarily, the pilots of the strategic bombers may also be among the dead,” said the source.

The airport in the city of Yeysk was also hit. According to preliminary data, two Su-25s were completely destroyed there and four Russian servicemen were killed.

In addition, drones attacked a military airport in the city of Kursk. But the results have not yet been reported.

Earlier on Friday, explosions were reported in the area of ​​military airfields in the Russian settlements of Yeisk, Morozovsk and Engels. Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced an attack of more than 50 drones, most of which were said to have been shot down.

In turn, the media reported that at Morozovsk airfield at least six aircraft were destroyed and eight more were badly damaged. About two dozen Russian soldiers were killed and wounded. In turn, the Russians reported eight casualties.
