China has made another statement about the war in Ukraine

There should be no winners or losers in the war between Russia and Ukraine. This is what the speaker of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wang Wenbin, said in a briefing on Wednesday, April 3, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, China’s position related to the “Ukraine crisis” (as Russia’s war against Ukraine is called in China – ed.) is consistent, clear and transparent. Wang noted that since there is a risk of further aggravation of the “crisis”, every effort should be made to reduce and end the conflict through negotiations.

“The result of a political settlement should not be the identification of winners or losers, but the restoration of peace. To achieve this goal, China will continue to act properly,” the diplomat said.

Wenbin assured that China has never transferred weapons or military equipment to any warring party, and called not to tarnish the PRC’s “ordinary” relationship with Russia.

“We do not seek to profit from the current conflict and will never do so, but other countries, in their attacks, should not discredit the harmonious relations between China and Russia and should not despise the legitimate rights of China and Chinese companies,” said the Chinese Foreign Ministry speaker.

Let us recall that, according to media reports, Russian President Vladimir Putin has been sending signals through intermediaries at least as early as September 2023 about his alleged readiness for a ceasefire in war against Ukraine.

President Vladimir Zelensky said that a diplomatic end to Ukraine’s war with Russia is possible only on the basis of a Peace Formula, which provides for the liberation of all Ukrainian territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation.
