Hackers temporarily shut down the Central Bank of Russia, which is why even the interbank payment system partially malfunctioned.
Over the past few weeks, Ukrainian hackers have suspended the operation of critical facilities in the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine on Thursday, March 28.
It is reported that the IT army stopped the work of large Internet providers MegaFon, Chebnet, Wifire, Netbynet – they did not work in different parts of the Russian Federation, and MegaFon did not recover from the attack more in four days.
In addition, Ukrainian hackers attacked Gazprom’s space systems.
“It partially stopped the work of one of the biggest sponsors of terrorism, Gazprom. Also, some government financial services related to the company stopped working,” the message said.
In addition, hackers from Ukraine hit the satellite communication system used by the Russian military, and also stopped the Central Bank of Russia, which is why even the interbank payment system partially malfunctioned.
The Ministry of Digital Development is calling on IT specialists to join the following attacks, where they need to install software from the IT ARMY website.
Let’s recall that at the beginning of March, hackers of the Main Intelligence Directorate carried out a large-scale DDoS attack on the servers of the Russian Ministry of Defense. They got access to information and documents, including secrets.
