This will be facilitated by significant warming, which is predicted by Ukrainian weather forecasters. Disconnection from heating will occur within several days, because the centralized heating system of the capital is the largest in Ukraine and one of the largest in Europe. The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on March 26 in Telegram.
According to the mayor, the early end of the heating season will allow Kyiv to save energy and not waste natural gas unnecessarily. And city residents will be able to save on heating costs.
Turning off heating systems in healthcare, cultural, physical culture and sports institutions, preschool and general secondary education, as well as in social service institutions occurs upon written requests from their managers.
Despite the enormous risks and enemy shelling, Kyiv went through the heating season stably and without failures in the life support systems, the mayor noted.
We would like to remind you that Energy Minister German Galushchenko found it difficult to answer the question of whether tariffs would be increased in Ukraine due to the shutdown of the DneproHES. The government will make a decision on revising electricity tariffs for the population or banning the export of electricity after recording the consequences of a massive attack by the Russian Federation.
