We are talking about the return of at least 300 thousand Ukrainians who left the territory of their country, said Robert Kalinyak.
NATO countries should not send troops to Ukraine. Instead, “cowardly” Ukrainian men from abroad have to be sent back to their homeland. This idea was announced by Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kaliniak on Monday, March 11.
“Sending soldiers from NATO countries to Ukraine is a rough red line, crossing which will significantly increase the risk of international conflict. If our warmongers (we are talking about the opposition in Slovakia – ed.) are serious about supporting Ukraine and a possible Russian victory, they are calling to allow the return of cowardly Ukrainians to their homeland,” said the minister.
According to Kalynyak, Europe may witness a war “until the last Ukrainian,” therefore, in his opinion, “it’s time to look for peaceful solutions.”
In turn, the Slovak publication Standard quoted the minister as saying that approximately 300 thousand Ukrainians who left the territory of their country after the start of the war are subject to mobilization.
“It is certainly better than sending our soldiers there,” Kalinyak emphasized.
Let’s remember that on February 26, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, said that some NATO and EU member countries are discussing the possibility of sending their military to Ukraine after concluding bilateral agreements. He assured that Slovakia “will not take such a step,” but will respect the relevant decisions of NATO countries.
Subsequently, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about the possibility of sending military personnel to Ukraine, and French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal also did not rule out the possibility of sending military personnel to Ukraine.
Macron later named the condition for sending troops to Ukraine.
