The ad, which begins with her smiling admission that she is “not a boy,” comes as the 81-year-old White House leader tries to calm voters’ concerns about her age.
US President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign is launching a new TV ad mocking his age as part of his $30 million ad campaign, Bloomberg reports.
The ad, which begins with her smiling admission that she is “not a boy,” comes as the 81-year-old White House leader tries to calm voters’ concerns about her age.
“It’s no secret. But here’s the thing — I know how to get things done for the American people,” Biden said in his ad.
At the end of the one-minute video, which included footage of his future Republican opponent and former President Donald Trump trying to flip through a folder, Biden returned to the issue of age with a planned exit.
“Look, I’m very young, energetic and handsome – why the hell am I doing this?” he joked.
Biden’s campaign said the ad will appear during March Madness, the games of the men’s college basketball season, on ESPN and TNT, as well as on Comedy Central and FX.
Let’s recall that Republican presidential candidate and former American leader Donald Trump challenged incumbent President Joe Biden to a debate after he refused to participate in them against competitors from his party during the primaries.
