The procedures for preparing all the documents required for this have already started, the OP said.
The procedure for the appointment of former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny as Ambassador to the UK has been launched. Relevant documents are currently being processed. This is what Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Andrei Sibiga said in the telethon.
“Procedures have now begun to prepare the necessary documents related to the appointment of Zaluzhny to the post of Ambassador to Britain. A corresponding proposal was received from the Minister of Foreign Affairs with such a proposal. It was supported and agreed by the President of Ukraine,” he said.
According to the OP representative, after the approval of Zaluzhny’s candidacy for the position, some other procedures must be completed.
“And after that, the formal end of this story will be the presidential decree appointing an appropriate candidate as ambassador, which will come out after receiving the agreement from the British side,” added Sibiga.
We remind you that President Vladimir Zelensky has agreed to Zaluzhny’s candidacy for the post of Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK. The Foreign Ministry sent a corresponding request to the British side for the agreement.
Zaluzhny’s desire to work in the diplomatic direction, Zelensky said, noting that Ukraine’s alliance with Britain should only be strengthened.
